Literature class was boring if you thought the works were by dead guys who really didn’t get you. Unless it was Othello and you’re teacher taught you all the dirty bits of it. The great works left behind, and all literature for that matter, describes the thoughts of the people that wrote them. A book holds more than a world in itself. Its a whole worldview waiting to be discovered. Its food for the imagination. And if you take the time to read something, why not see what you can add to it?
Nerds do it all the time with Fanfiction. Surely you can do better with something deeper.
